You don't need to create an account to use some of our service characteristics like looking and voting on Picks. If you choose to create an account to post Picks, some private information must be provided to us so that we can provide you with our services. This includes your full name, a nickname, a password, and a phone number or email address. You always have a display name and username, but you can use either your true name or a pseudonym.
Most of Picker's activity is public when you've created your account and your Picks and some information about your Picks, such as the image, date and time might be public too. You are accountable for your picks and other data that you provide through our facilities, and you should think closely about what content you are making public, particularly if it is delicate data. We will refresh your updated content on pckr.app and our mobile phone app when you update your data on Picker, such as deleting a Pick or deactivating your account.
We use your contact information, such as your email address or phone number, to authenticate your account and keep it safe and help prevent spam, fraud and abuse in our services. We also use your contact data to customize our services, allow certain account characteristics and provide you with data about our services. If you provide us with your phone number, as permitted by the legislation of your country, you agree to receive text messages from Picker to that number. With an account from another service such as Twitter, Google, or Facebook, you can sign up for Picker or link your Picker account to these other facilities. If you do, we will use data from that service to recommend other accounts or content to you, including your email address, friends, or contact list, or to suggest your account or content to others. If you send us an email, we will maintain your message material, email address, and contact data to answer your message.
We keep track of how you communicate with links across our services. This involves links to other websites or mobile apps in emails we send you and links in Picks. If you click on an internal link that website may find that you came from Picker along with other data related to the link you clicked. Other private information such as cookie identifiers or your IP address may also be collected from you.
In order to safely and reliably set up and retain your account and provide our services to you, we require data about your signup process and current location that we track from information such as your IP address or device settings
When you view content or otherwise communicate with our services, which we refer to as "Log Data," we obtain data even if you have not made an account. For instance, we may obtain data about you when you visit our websites, log in to our services or click in our email notifications. This Log Data involves data such as your IP address, type of browser, operating system, reference web page, visited websites, place, mobile carrier, device data (including device and application IDs), search conditions, and data about cookies. When you click, view, or communicate with links on our services, we also obtain log data. To run our services, we use Log Data to guarantee their safe, reliable and robust output. We use Log Data, for instance, to safeguard account security and to determine what content is popular with our services. We also use this information to enhance the material that we are showing you. As noted above, Picker is designed to broadly and instantly disseminate information you share publicly through our services. In the limited circumstances where we disclose your private personal data, we do so subject to your control, because it's necessary to operate our services, or because it's required by law.
We share or disclose your personal data with your consent or at your direction,when you direct us to share your feedback with a business. We also provide private information to some third parties, subject to your configuration, to assist us give or run our services. The data we share with these partners does not include your name, email address, phone number or Picker username, but some of these partnerships permit the data we share to be connected to other private data if you give your approval.
We share or disclose non-personal data such as aggregated information such as the complete amount of individuals involved with a Pick, the number of individuals who clicked on a specific link or voted on a Picker (even if only one did).
If you have enrolled with a Picker account, we will provide you with instruments and account settings for accessing, correcting, deleting or modifying the private information that you have supplied to us and linked with your account. By emailing us at email@example.com, we can send you a link to download a dump with certain account data, including your Picks.
You can email us to deactivate or delete your account at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once deactivated, your Picker account will no longer be visible on pckr.app or our mobile app, including your screen name, username, and public profile. Keep in mind that search engines and other third parties may still maintain copies of your public information, such as data about your profile and public picks, even after you deleted your account.
Our services are not aimed at children, and if you are under the age of 13, you may not use our services. You also need to be old enough to consent to your country's processing of your private information (we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf in some nations).
We work worldwide to provide you with our services. Where your country's regulations enable you to do so, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your information in the U.S., Argentina, and any other nation we work in. In some of the nations to which we transfer private information, the regulations and regulations on privacy and data protection when government officials can access information may differ.
